Know before you go
If you are a foreign national and plan on traveling to Djibouti for tourism, business, or other reasons, you will need a visa to enter the country. Djibouti has visa requirements in place for most foreign visitors, apart from those from countries that have established visa exemption agreements with Djibouti.
E-Visa
The Djibouti e-Visa is available to all countries worldwide. Visitors can use Djibouti e-Visa for purposes such as traveling, leisure, business, and visiting relatives and friends. It is valid for 30 days from the issued date and is granted usually within 72 hours.
With this visa, you can:
Stay in Djibouti for up to 1 month at a time. It is possible to extend your visa once you arrive to Djibouti.
Enjoy a holidays, visit your family or friends or cruise, or attend a cultural event.
Conduct business activities such as making enquiries, negotiating contracts, attending conferences or seminars.
Study or train for up to 1 month in total.
To be eligible for this visa, you must:
Have a valid passport: The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of entry into Djibouti.
Have booked the entry and exit flight (or any other possible means of transport).
An accommodation address (Hotel or at your host’s).
An invitation letter (organisation or host with their contacts)
Be vaccinated against yellow fever if arriving from a yellow-fever prone country.
Visa-exempt countries
Citizens of Singapore 
holding ordinary passports can enter Djibouti without a visa and stay for an unlimited period.
Similarly, nationals of China 
with passports endorsed “for public affairs” can also enter Djibouti without a visa and stay for an unlimited period.
COVID-19 Requirements
You need to show a COVID vaccination certificate or negative COVID test to enter Djibouti.
If you’re unvaccinated and want to enter Djibouti by air, you’ll need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before your flight. If you’re arriving by sea or land, you’ll have to pay for a PCR test on arrival
